I’m pretty sure everybody has some type of skill. You might be good at photography, drawing, building websites? Anyway, It doesn’t matter what your skill is, I’m pretty sure there’s a way to make a profit from it by using your blog as a promotional tool.
For a few days now, I’ve been working on a portfolio. I’m going to go around many different forums offering my services as a graphic designer.I’m hardly a Photoshop wizard, but I can hold my own. I’d never thought of offering my services before, it was a thread on a forum that grabbed my attention. Some guy was also offering his services as a graphic designer. He was selling Forum avatars/signatures, blog headers, logos those types of things. All very nice I thought, until I saw some of his work. It was real bad quality, it looked like it had been created by a 5 yr old, yet this guy was making a small fortune. He was charging between $2 and $20 for his work and people couldn’t get enough of it. So, that’s why I decided to try it myself.
I’ve now decided to offer my services via this blog too. There’s always a chance someone might be interested. Some bloggers don’t have the time or the knowledge to create graphics for forums, blogs, widgets, ads. This is where I come in. My work isn’t the greatest on the internet, but it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than what you would pay if you got a pro to do it.
My advice to you is to try the same. Go out and flaunt your skills over forums and make sure you use your blog as your base and portfolio. Even if you don’t sell, it’s a good way of promoting your blog.

I can’t believe some of the prices charged for low quality graphics. If you got some skills, I would definitely try setting up shop. I might have to hire you sometime.

Subz - For a 120×160 it depends on what you want, if you want it animating. I’d say anywhere between $5-10
Stephan Miller - Yep, there’s some terrible stuff been sold on forums lately.
One bad thing though about graphics, I’m worried that creating them all day might start to hurt my blog. Today all I’ve done is work on requests I got over at digitalpoint forum.The time just disappeared.

For now all I need to do is replace the logo in the Revolution Magazine theme with one for Digital Products Review. Same color scheme and size as the original for now, just so I can make the theme active. This comment links to the site. I could do it myself, but right now I am working on the theme itself.
